This project is to design a
concept urban two-seater car that serves as a personal companion through subscription.
2040 Smart EQ concept features the concept of companionship for current younger generation and helps to relieve pressure and loneliness.
With technologies such as biometric sensor and the summoning/visual interaction between subscriber and Smart, this concept ensures a safe and fun journey.
Exterior and interior form inspiration as vibrant, user friendly and visual softness.
Exterior form development is inspired by primitive volumes to create a friendly and modern first-impression.
Interior form development features a welcoming and surrounding atmosphere, inviting everyone in.
Final exterior design features butterfly-wing doors, extra storage “backpack”, showcasing electric power, radar and lidar located near the head/taillights, and Smart logo graphics.
Interior final design features detachable steering wheel, inspired by gaming controller, biometric sensor on the center console, and cozy environment.
