About Me

Design, to Me, is about Understanding.

Not leading, not teaching — just guiding quietly toward Clarity.

Elijah — a multidisciplinary designer working at the intersection of product design, automotive experience, and emerging AI-driven interaction.

My work focuses on designing experiences that feel intuitive, emotionally resonant, and quietly intelligent. I’m less interested in how something looks in isolation, and more interested in how it shapes human behavior over time — how it supports, reassures, excites, or fades gracefully into the background when it should.

By training, I come from industrial design and transportation design, but over time my practice has evolved deeply into product and experience design. That foundation allows me to think holistically — from physical form and spatial logic to digital systems, interfaces, and behaviors. I don’t see hardware, software, and interaction as separate layers; I see them as a single, continuous experience.

At General Motors, my work centers on creating emotion-aroused experiences — systems that respond not just to inputs, but to context, intent, and the human state behind the action. Whether designing concept vehicles, in-vehicle experiences, or future-facing interaction models, I approach each project with the same belief:

- good design doesn’t announce itself — it earns trust through clarity and care.

I often describe myself as an experience crafter rather than just a designer. Design, to me, is not the final artifact. It’s a medium — one that shapes how people feel, decide, and move through the world. AI, in this sense, isn’t a feature or a tool; it’s a collaborator, a shadow that supports the experience without demanding attention.

Simple on the surface, considered underneath.
Visionary, but grounded.
Always human-centered.
