This project is to create a unique and futuristic flight experience for people to be fully immersed in a mixed reality world.
WELCOME TO 2100
People will likely be living in a mixed reality world by 2100. Significant percentage of the world population wouldn’t have a need to work as the social structure would likely to be radically reformed. Therefore, this project is targeting to people who would have plenty of time to focus on themselves and use it towards nature explorations.

Secondary research on what the world will be like by 2100 in terms of population, transportation, city, technology, energy and life.
Secondary research on current Audi’s engagement in Metaverse through collaboration with Holoride to create an immersive experience of games, films and other interactive contents for passengers.

Primary research with a current civil-aviation pilot on information needed to be displayed for aerial purpose.

With primary research done, I designed all the realtime UI of the navigation system that’s projected through glasses and Neuralink. It provides simplicity and necessity of the information displayed for users without much pilot experience.

With primary research done, I designed all the realtime UI of the navigation system that’s projected through glasses and Neuralink. It provides simplicity and necessity of the information displayed for users without much pilot experience.
Starting from interior, which was inspired by a combination of pilot seat, gimbal system and VR gaming system, I manage to design the interior with minimum curb weight but in the same time allows leveling of the seat while moving and turning, maximum mobility in virtual world within safety perimeter and easy ingress and egress.
For exterior design, I was inspired by primitive volumes and developed into modern, neat Audi-design drone.

Design development with more details such as CMF, form studies, interactive display and engine compartment.
Final design with rough package to prove feasibility.
Final interior design features an excellently designed pilot seat which provides comfort, security and stability in the same time. With minimal design elements in the interior, it also allows least weight for the drone.
For Traverse mode, the bottom part of the seat is retracted to the rear storage and the top becomes the protection wearable. The bottom 360 degree treadmill allows the user to move freely in the virtual world and the protection that is linked to the top secures the user within safety perimeter.
We will be using this drone to conquer nature, enjoy all miraculous scenery and be fully immersed in the virtual world.
